Was made today by Philadelphia Eagles Coach Andy Reid. He will be taking a leave of absence to attend to family matters. He will return to the team in mid-March.
In the last few weeks, both of his older son's have had some legal trouble, and have been arrested. One of them was involved in an accident and was under the influence of heroin at the time. The other waved a gun at another motorist in a road rage incident.
I have always admired Coach Reid for the way he runs his team, and his choice of having player's with class and good character (he gets a pass on the whole TO debacle), and this decision by him shows that he needs to what is most important at this time, his family.
Hopefully things work out for the Reid family, and Coach Reid takes as much time as he needs to tend to things
