Election 2006

Well the election season for 2006 is now upon us. The big race here in Pennsylvania is of course the Senate race between Bob Casey and Rick Santorum. The governor's race (if you want to call it that) between incumbent Ed Rendell and hall of fame linebacker Lynn Swan is a joke. Fast Eddie should win this easily. He has my vote, as he did in 2002.

Seems a lot of folks nationwide are interested in the House race in my seventh district between Weldon and Sestak. The dem's have be pouring a lot of money into PA this year, they really want the Senate and House seat. Personally I would prefer that the national democrat's stay the heck out of this state, and mind their own damn business. Recently we had Ms. Pelosi and Mr. Kerry pay a visit stumping for the dem's. I have always found Pelosi to be very annoying, and the fact that she was here made me less inclined to vote for Admiral Sestak. Congressman Weldon has done a good job for the district, and his never ending support of the fire service has always been well received in this area, Weldon deserves another term.

I am still undecided in the Senate race, both candidates have their pluses and their minuses, I am leaning toward Casey at this point, but will see how the campaign pan's out over the next few weeks.

Should get real interesting here in PA over the next month or so. Stay tuned, the gloves are off, and the candidates are on the ropes
