For finally receiving an Oscar® for his direction in the movie The Departed. We saw this in the movies and got it on DVD, and thought it was one of the best movies we've seen in a long time. I thought Jack Nicholson's portrayal of Frank Costello was amazing, and deserving of a best actor award.
I normally stay away from award shows, but the Mrs had it on last night for a little bit, and I was happy with what I saw, short speeches, no Bush Sucks talk (granted I only watched for about 45 minutes from 2130-2215 EST), and things moving along rather smoothly.
Enjoy it Mr. Scorsese, you certainly earned it, this was one of your best films yet
