Full disclosure, I am working today, this is not a holiday for our company, even though it is a national holiday, that being said, let's continue...
This is one of those national holiday's that only really matter to those that actually do have off, and retailers and car dealers. All Federal, State, and Local offices are closed, as well as banks, and there is no mail delivery. and here in Pennsylvania, the liquor stores are closed since they are run by the state.
I think this holiday would be better served to everyone if it was actually celebrated or honored in some way, but the only people who seem to take notice are the aforementioned. There are no parades, speeches, etc like other national holidays..
Maybe I am just bitter because I don't have the day off.
