Gun Violence

As of this morning, there has been 305 murders here in the city of brotherly love. Just a few days ago, in nearby Lancaster County, a gunman killed five Amish girls, and then himself. Its out of control. Too many people are being cut down by guns, most of which are obtained illegally. When is enough going to be enough.

Last week, here in Philly, a five year old girl was shot and killed, she was sitting in her mother's car. The girl was an innocent victim. The police have a suspect in custody.

Personally I do not own any firearms. The problem as I see it, is all the illegal guns that are on the streets. I think there needs to be tougher enforcement and more vigilance placed on getting these guns off the streets and out of the hands of those who use them. Also, the penalties for possessing firearms illegally need to be enforced and applied more.

I realize that there are many responsible gun owners out there, and I am not advocating stricter laws, what I want to see is those that have obtained, or whom are in the business of dealing illegal firearms be dealt with more severely. Get the guns off the streets, as well as those who use them, that is what is needed

How many more people will need to die before something is done. Its time to wake up.
