In exciting fashion yesterday afternoon, the Philadelphia Phillies, with a little help from the Florida Marlins, clinched the National League East division, with a 6-1 victory over the Washington Nationals. Florida helped by spanking the Mets 8-1.
This will be the Phillies first playoff appearance since the 1993 world series, and with the way the Eagles have been playing lately, this town really needs a team to root for.
Its very exciting to have a team in the post-season, let's hope the party keeps going.
